Vu Dinh Thanh is the Professor of Electrical Engineering (EE) at HoChiMinh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam. He received his BS (1982) from HCMUT and his M.S. (1990) and Ph.D. (1993) in EE from l’Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), France.
His research centers on microwave engineering (electromagnetic modelling, array antennas, smart antenna,...) and on digital signal processing in MIMO systems, in cognitive telecommunications,...
He served as Dean of Department of Electrical Engineering from 2002 to 2007 and since 2007, he has been being the Rector of the HoChiMinh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam.
